  • Why go to individual therapy?

While there are many reasons to start individual therapy, most clients start because they have noticed personal concerns that they no longer feel they have the resources to address alone. Individual therapy allows clients to process these concerns without the pressure of other's opinions while still receiving professional, compassionate help.

  • What to expect in individual therapy?

The first sessions are focused on understanding the concerns you want to address and creating goals to help guide your progress. Depending on these goals, you and I would work on building good coping skills, exploring the impacts of family dynamics, and establishing positive beliefs. Of course, the therapy process is unique according to the needs of each client.

  • What if I want my child/teen to start individual therapy?

I offer therapy for children 10 years and older! Individual therapy for children/teens requires collaboration with the parents as well as the child. The child will have confidentiality rights as the client and parents may need to attend some sessions.

*Fees & Payment

I am an out-of-network provider so if you would like to use your insurance please call ahead to find out what your out-of-network benefits are so that you can make an informed decision.

Ask your provider:

  1. What are my out-of-network psychotherapy benefits?
  2. What is my deductible? If you have met your deductible then your provider will pay a large portion of the sessions. If you have not, you have to pay the full fee until your deductible is met.

Sliding scale payment options are available for those with financial concerns. Payments can be made through cash, card, check, HSA, or Venmo.
